CurrentThis leader adheres to the following: Working hands-on in the tuberculosis (TB) healthcare center when staffing is low, and orchestrating daily functions and outreach of the TB clinic. We are an agency that services a large adult and pediatric suburban and urban metropolitan population, comprised of wide varieties of income and cultural backgrounds. Its general mission is detection, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis and rabies, which are highly dangerous diseases. Other related duties include public education, and controlling the performance flow of TB case investigations, to establish a cause for potential or prevalent outbreaks, and ensure treatment is provided for those having existing or newly acquired symptoms. Thus, it is the duty to delegate case evaluations, meet with the public or the appointed official, and monitor case management personnel for adherence to aggressive pursuit of patient compliances. This involves the administration of Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers and Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Clerical Personnel. It further involves the administration of subsequent Budgetary, Education Development, Policy and Procedures Drafting, monitoring staff complience to Federal CDC and Kentucky State Public Healthcare Guidelines, to meet and exceed their mandates. Other functions involve the daily business organizational management roles accompanying this department’s needs.
