The past few years spent writing and editing for university, local and national publications have taught me to balance multiple jobs and projects at once. Whether I am researching for feature pieces, proofreading and macro-editing news articles, or discussing strategies with colleagues, I accept challenges as a part of the invigorating creative process. Sleepless nights spent in production rooms were inevitable, but these tasks did not feel like work. I am grateful that my skills and my passions overlap. Most of my work shares a common theme: content creation. Projects of great importance to me are those that allow me to incorporate my values in my work. For example, I have written a feature piece on socially-responsible, sustainable fashion. Last year, I designed and wrote a magazine encompassing a feminist perspective. During my time as a journalist in Peru, I covered social justice issues, such as violence against women and rehabilitation for at-risk youth. I have recently graduated from St. Edward's University, where I earned a BA in English Writing and Rhetoric.
