My role is to provide strategic vision, educational program development and stakeholder engagement strategy.RRAD Communities is a non profit organisation servicing communities in Lockyer Valley Region and broader Queensland. RRAD designs and delivers programs for youth (aged four to nineteen) and their communities. My role as a Careers Leader involved working directly with the Careers and Employment Services to encourage students from all years to start planning for their careers and advise students on recruitment and employment methods. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS• Provided employment advice to students such as - how to create a LinkedIn profile, network, write job applications, obtain work experience and conduct oneself during job interviews. • Participated in a wide range of marketing and promotional activities including - creating and maintaining social media pages and face to face promotion of services.• Presented services to groups of students (often hundreds at a time) regarding Griffith’s careers and employment services.• Worked in a team to deliver high quality customer service and research current opportunities for students.

Crows Nest & Yarraman Districts

During my role as a Community Liaison Officer I was one of the first points of contact between customer/community groups and Council. I provided a high level of customer service and capacity building to customer/community by acting as a case manager and effectively facilitating negotiations to reach a whole Council outcome.KEY CONTRIBUTIONS• Undertook responsibility for a moderately complex project/s. • Provided reports on the progress of project activities including recommendations. • Ensured a high level of customer service was provided to the community by effectively building, fostering and managing relationships with customers and community groups which built capacity. • Represented Toowoomba Regional Council by facilitating, attending and participating in various community committee / organisation meetings and forums relative to community projects. • Provided advice to the community, in line with policy, approved activities and initiatives of Council. • Took responsibility for and case managed complex issues on behalf of customer and community groups to achieve positive community benefit. • Maximised the performance of customer and community groups through effective coaching and sourcing relevant grant programs to deliver projects to the community. • Attracted resources, investment and support from a range of sources including government agencies, business and community organisations to progress identified community development activities. • Assessed and assisted with Community Grant application forms. • Planned, delivered and evaluated community events, i.e. Australia Day, Youth Day and Seniors Morning Tea in aid of Seniors Week.

The Lockyer Valley

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS• Case management of over 50 complex cases .• Assisted management with operational design, planning, implementation of case management model and Strengthening Grantham Project in the Lockyer Valley Regional Council.• Guided clients through the complex Grantham Landswap Project and completed the contract admistration in line the the Lockyer Valley Relocation Policy.• Developed and maintained strong networks and partnership with local community groups/networks, Government and non-Government organisations and internal delivery staff to ensure client’s goal are achieved within timeframes.• Responsible for compiling social mapping, generating reports and relaying key human and social trends to stakeholders to assist with social planning and informing policy. • Used evidence base practice and community engagement techniques to develop community capacity building iniatives in partnership with the community and human and social partners such as Queensland Health, Department of Communities and Australian Red Cross• Facilitated information sessions that communicated to the community and clients the key Landswap process;• In partnership with the local Community Development Officer facilitated community focused activities like Movie Nights, women’s groups and well being expos.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS • Demonstrated case management (caseload of up to 85) and dedication to clients, as evidenced by contract extension to Project Officer;• Conducted over eighty-five needs assessments in partnership with the Department of Communities which identified client needs and community trends, which informed policy and program modifications;• Worked collaboratively with complex clients and care team to coordinate support and services to meet client’s goals within defined time frames;• Enhanced client participation in the Grantham Landswap project and community development /recovery initiatives by informing clients of programs and advocating for their needs;• Provided highly visible, caring client service that resulted in high percentage of client intakes and effective linkages with recovery programs such as Recovery and Resilience mental health services and the Department of Communities grants programs; and• Maintained a high standard of client records and reports to assist to provide a high level of advice on case related matters.
