In my role as Co-Founder at AYA Africa (social entreps) I am co-leading the charge in creating an innovative e-commerce solution for SMEs in the creative industry. By prioritizing community involvement and collaboration, we have successfully established a platform that not only drives sales but also fosters a sense of belonging and support among our users. Heavy Chef is a leading entrepreneur education company, serving as South Africa's largest and fastest-growing digital learning platform for entrepreneurs with a thriving community exceeding 40,000 members. Their impactful initiatives include bi-weekly live events held for 300 guests in Johannesburg and Cape Town, complemented by a dynamic digital webinar series.Responsible for creating interview content with influential figures, reporting directly to the CEO. The role extends to syndicating this content for community-building. In the dynamic environment of a startup, collaboration is primarily one-on-one with team members, given the absence of a formal hierarchy. Key Deliverables• Conduct desktop, qualitative, and telephonic research on the entrepreneurial history of selected "Heavy Chefs."• Analyse research findings to choose a PR headline for content pieces in alignment with the company's editorial mandate.• Extract "learning bites" from these pioneers by posing strategic questions related to the chosen PR headline.• Produce and present professional video content, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.• Assist in event organization, both in-person and for digital webinars syndicated via the Heavy Chef YouTube channel.• Create content aligned with SEO best practices for the blog, email newsletter, and YouTube.• Establish reporting frameworks to monitor performance metrics on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Analytics.Key Projects/Highlights/Accomplishments• Co-emcee at events hosting an influential audience of 300+ individuals, including notable figures such as the ex-RSA president, Thabo Mbeki, in September 2018.• Interviewed "famous" entrepreneurs like Malcolm Gladwell and "The Chef who fed Google" as part of community building efforts for Heavy Chef.

My side project: AIA is a social entrepreneur venture (10 - 15 year project) aimed at integrating African artisans into global commercial circuits. AIA merged into AYA Africa (www.aya.africa). The Sentiens brand began with yoga mats - blank canvases with the potential to add a visual quality to the movement. By matching beautiful aesthetics with functional specs, Sentiens products are designed to inspire and enhance active expression.Entrepreneur specialising in the development of a lifestyle brand situated within the yoga and health and wellness arena. Offering a curated range of products under the brand through an e-commerce platform.Key Deliverables• Conduct comprehensive market research encompassing qualitative and quantitative analysis.• Perform competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.• Lead product research and development initiatives, introducing new products to the South African market.• Source suppliers locally and internationally, managing import/export processes within the supply chain.• Establish and cultivate the brand by strategically seeding creative brand platforms.• Drive digital marketing and social media efforts, including SEO, PPC, and targeted email campaigns.• Ensure professional communication with local and international suppliers and service providers, such as couriers, shipping agents, and manufacturers.Key Projects/Highlights/Accomplishments• Expanded the social media community organically, achieving 40 000 followers starting from scratch.
