Leading a team of software engineers developing systems that facilitate the production of safety-critical embedded avionics software; operations and infrastructure supporting twelve other teams; automating all of deployment, integration, regression testing, and software health monitoring; planning and managing concurrent multibranch software projects, reviewing design and code, team development and technical training, recruiting, interviews, and performance evaluations. I work hard to drive continuous improvement and innovation in product technologies, system architecture, new features, project planning, workflow and process, software quality, hiring practices, team member development, and any other area on-team or organizationally that can inspire positive change.

Safety-critical embedded software for avionics & flight systems: I have developed embedded software including interfaces to various sensors and modules on several communication protocols, audio management system for aural alerts to pilots, MMU & partitioning work, and several low level drivers. I have also scrutinized and solved a wide variety of device issues and problems using fast and sound investigatory practices. Beyond writing device software, I have added to the team's productivity and efficiency by writing a diversity of Python tools to painlessly analyze, process, or visualize key data.

Custom website design & implementation

Computational analysis of chemical assay data for interpolating compound-to-disease efficacy: This collaboration with Pfizer was part of my work at the Washington University School of Medicine. In this collaboration, we leveraged our algorithms and research against private industry chemical assay data.

Computational analysis of chemical data; design and application of novel algorithms to discover new medicines and new uses for existing medicines: I managed numerous projects, often concurrent. This involved designing, creating, and refining countless algorithms, scripts, and modules; heavy data management, machine learning routines, and parallel programming on a computational cluster. I also learned and employed concepts widely outside my area of study/experience, chiefly Biology & Chemistry. This work was accomplished using the powerful scripting language Python.

Software driven object detection from analysis of images and ground-penetrating radar: I designed, populated, and maintained a software system for archival and fast retrieval of image files; streamlined preexisting code to vastly improve computational efficiency

Developed Java programming assignments to exercise various data structures and algorithms, graded student work, devised paradigm solutions to the assignments; directed in-lab instruction & discussion on algorithm design; worked with individuals to address difficulties with course material
