Hello! Here is a little bit about me, Cali Traina Blume. I'm a passionate graphic designer and educator born and raised in New Orleans. With a BFA in graphic design from Loyola University New Orleans, I am currently sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of designers while serving as an adjunct professor there.In addition to my teaching role, I am the editorial designer for Current Affairs magazine. There I carefully craft visually engaging spreads that complement the magazine's thought-provoking content. Collaborating closely with Editor in Chief Nathan J. Robinson, I try to ensure that every commissioned article and illustration is presented in a captivating style. Through this creative collaboration, my aim is to elevate the reading experience, inviting subscribers to immerse themselves fully in the fun world of Current Affairs.I'm constantly seeking inspiration from various and often alternative sources. Outside of my professional pursuits, I have a deep passion for viticulture and enjoy studying the art and science of winemaking. Additionally, I find enjoyment and excitement in attending heavy metal shows. I appreciate the artistry and intensity that heavy metal brings to the stage, and it serves as a source of inspiration for my own creative endeavors.Driven by my personal values of integrity, collaboration, and continuous growth, I believe in the power of design to make a positive impact on my community.
