I worked within a management team to direct this social enterprise. I supported youth age 14-18 on learning customer service, retail basics, and bicycle mechanics. We enrich these youth with the entrepreneurial business and independent-thinking skills that are often overlooked in today's public education curriculum.

I worked closely with three other Manager/Mechanics. We trained youth age 14-18 on retail basics, occupational standards, and bicycle mechanics. In this position, I was responsible for servicing bicycles in a timely, thorough manner. Additionally, I had the opportunity to contribute to writing and editing copy for fundraising and employee "gets." I performed public relations via facebook posts, as well as video and radio interviews. I pushed for a re-organization of our main storage space, which put us in a better position to accept and turn around a higher number of bicycles.

The Cycling Museum of Minnesota is a museum-in-development located in Minneapolis, MN. As a board member, I was involved in everything from growing (and maintaining!) our collection of cultural artifacts to amping up our fundraising efforts. I continue this work by volunteering on the Collections Committee.

I provided continuity of education for Minneapolis Public Schools students.

Conservation and digitization of photos, artwork, and books. Edited metadata for the collections.

Carpentry assistant. Accounting using quickbooks. My carpenter-mentor, Jordan Best, is now part of a business called Framers United.

Serviced customer and sales floor bikes while mentoring youth in retail and repair skills.

I tutored Spanish-speaking professionals one-on-one and in groups to improve their English speaking and comprehension skills.

Team player responsible for organizing natural body care products and optimizing sales in a high-grossing retail environment. I expanded the offering and sales growth of local and p6 (local, small business, &/or cooperatively run) brands as well as my section in general, contributing to the achievement of organization-wide end-goals. To cultivate an informed customer base, I regularly wrote articles promoting products in the Wellness Department. I represented the Seward Co-op at Natural Foods Expo West in 2013, where I made connections and brokered deals with national vendors that continue to benefit the Seward Co-op.

Created marketing materials including logos, conducted community outreach, conducted trainings on interpersonal and environmental topics within the organization.

Merchandized the sales floor in a visually pleasing layout, selected and managed inventory, conducted promotions, supervised cashiers and customer service associates, and worked directly with local farmers to promote their brands. My work in concert with others resulted in exponential sales growth for Clovers Natural Market in my location.

Odd jobs in restoration of historic properties. Demolition, wall repair, painting, research and design.

Installed and handled artwork. Packed art for shipment, did data entry, acted as receptionist and guard.
