I led the IT transformation program of works for Peters. Peters was acquired by Pacific Equity Partners (PEP) from Nestle. The objective of the transformation was to migrate Peters from Nestle's global IT systems and shared services to a new Peters technology platform that was all encompassing. Everything with a button had to be replaced, in one big bang. This involved the implementation of 30 new systems including Infor ERP, route management ERP, data warehouse, onsite data centre, network, WAN, and deployment of all new infrastructure, including desktops, phones, printers, etc. The real challenge was to complete this work in 9 months, and in parallel with running the existing Nestle systems.We successfully achieved a complete migration in one big bang. The Go Live was an amazing success. And Peters now has optimised systems for their particular business. How could we accomplish so much in such a short time period?The success of this transformation program was a key reason that enabled PEP to realise their gain on the deal, and sell Peters one year later.
