Managed Sun’s InfiniBand portfolio, which was vital to Sun’s growing position in the super-scale HPC market. Released and life cycle managed multiple generations of InfiniBand switching, server, and blade products (20 Gb, 40 Gb, 100 Gb). Sun delivered systems in the Top 500 Super Computers (top 10 and top 100) based upon the InfiniBand fabric and custom blade servers. The portfolio included the world’s largest 20 Gb switch (3456 ports).
