Method Collective is a team of curious creatives that explore the way humans behave and interact with systems, environments, technology, and each other. We seek out diverse perspectives to create capabilities and solutions that improve processes and achieve stakeholder alignment. This helps communities, organizations, and governments build resilience against present and future change.

Worked with Licensed Producers to navigate government and retailers to grow distribution, brand awareness and market share.

This project was made possible by the generous, dedicated, and hard-working collaborators at the Gardiner Museum and Art Starts, who helped us engage multi-level stakeholders such as government, educational institutions, and community activators. Along with co-designer Prateeksha Singh, we were driven to take foresight outside the confines of the traditional communities: academia, corporations, and governments, by working, in particular, with marginalized and racialized youth who we felt remain largely invisible in futures conversations.The exhibit was created over a 6-month period in collaboration with Art Starts to explore the sweeping revitalization of our youth participants' community, Lawrence Heights, Toronto’s third-largest community housing project. The workshops were designed to center around a futures curriculum that intended to:– Grow their future-time perspective– Develop their foresight skills to make personally aligned decisions for their future– Collaborate and be inclusive– To expose them to new ideas, and show themselves they can own spaces like museums where they have felt excluded and out of place.This translated into the design of a creative futures community engagement project (2-month longs, weekly workshop sessions) that would result in the youth creating clay artifacts from the year 2050 representing personal belongings a condo developer could find when digging for a future wave of ‘revitalization’.
