After graduation, I took some time off to travel before starting my career. Being a native English speaker, I was able to earn money on the side by teaching English. Most of my time spent at Exelis consisted of leading and participating in cost improvement and process improvement projects in a clean room environment. I helped my department save a significant amount of money by reducing their overall Isopropyl Alcohol consumption by 30%. For this project, and for many others, I learned how to document and statistically.

At HI-TEST Laboratories, Inc., I observed four shock and three vibration tests on Navy equipment. During these tests, I documented results and wrote technical reports. The best part of this job was getting to meet and interact with new customers on a weekly basis.
