I received my undergraduate degree in Applied Networking and Systems Administration (ANSA) in November 2010 from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. My program of study was administered by the Networking, Security, and Systems Administration (NSSA) department of the Golisano College of Computing and Information Technology. I distributed my coursework evenly between systems administration, security, and networking courses. I graduated with highest honors with a 4.0 and was listed on the Dean's list every quarter while at RIT. I also received a minor in Science, Technology, and Society. Prior to RIT, I received an A.A. in General Education at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. I graduated from Montgomery College with a GPA of 3.88.

While working for the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies (CIMS), I assisted the systems administrator in network administration including: scripting, maintenance, monitoring, and research into future technologies to enhance network capabilities and performance.

While at SAIC, my projects focused around network engineering, next-generation Internet development, and cryptography.

I worked at Frontier Communications for 3 weeks as my final rotation (of 3) in the Explore Rochester IT program. I was assigned to work with the Network Services team where I built my skills with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as being part of a level 3 support team. I also studied for and received my CompTIA Network+ certification while working at Frontier.

I worked at Excellus for 3 weeks as my second of three rotations in the Explore Rochester IT program. The program was structured so that half my time was spent shadowing colleagues, while the other half was spent on projects. Most of my project time was devoted to various projects with the Network Services team.

I worked at Energy East for 3 weeks as my first of three rotations in the Explore Rochester IT program. The program was structured so that I spent the majority of my time learning about the various roles in IT, shadowing employees and trying out newly learned skills. At the end of the 3 weeks, I spent time working with the Network Security team on various projects.

As the dock manager at Lake Whetstone in Montgomery Village, MD, I was responsible for the daily upkeep and operations at the dock, including managing an assistant, ensuring client and park visitor safety, maintaining the dock facilities, and performing the daily accounting. This position required that I obtain and maintain a Maryland boating safety certification, American Red Cross First Aid certification, and an American Red Cross CPR certification.

As the assistant dock manager at Lake Whetstone in Montgomery Village, MD, I was responsible for assisting in the daily upkeep and operations at the dock, including ensuring client and park visitor safety and maintaining the dock facilities. As a recreation program aide, my job is to assistant in a variety of activities sponsored by the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF). A majority of my time is spent working at the MVF Teen Center, at Stedwick Community Center, where I assist the director and assistant director in planning and participating in activities that promote a positive, fun atmosphere for children in grades 6-9.

As one of the two drop-in center directors for Camp Sunshine (Montgomery Village Foundation), I was responsible for organizing games and crafts for children in a wide age range. The camp took place in a public outdoor environment at Lake Whetstone Park in Montgomery Village, Maryland, and as such required a different set of skills to ensure active participation by all campers while maintaining camper safety.
