• To provide accounting support to the Treasury Operations department and support the Non-Ministerial department finance function.• Produce balanced and financially viable annual budgets for Non-Ministerial departments.• Produce quarterly and annual accounts and financial.• Work closely with finance staff within the Non Ministerial departments to promote good financial management, which includes influencing and motivating them to achieve effective end results. • Meet with budget holders on a monthly basis to discuss how their departments are performing against budget and highlight any concerns.• Prepare medium and long term income forecasts for my areas. • Produce monthly and quarterly reconciliations including GST (Goods Services Tax) and Balance Sheet control accounts.• Review and approve budget transfers.• Administer applications for funding from the States confiscation funds.• Attend various meeting as a Non Ministerial department representative.• Review the monthly journals prepared for the States Funds ensuring that the financial ledgers accurately reflect all transactions and balances.• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual accounts of the funds I am responsible for and prepare financial analysis where required for the accounts.• Ensure sufficient monies are held in short-term cash to meet monthly cash flow obligations for assigned funds.
