Encompass - Santa Cruz Residential Recovery Program

Insure adequate security for program residents and property during specific shift hours.Responsible for dealing with client behavioral and/or medical issues and facility fire, or natural emergencies while on duty.May provide therapeutic crisis management.Provide therapeutic intervention services based on best practices & selected evidence based practices for mental health or substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders.Administrative functions in support of clients and their families, evaluation, assessment, counseling, and/or assisting in the implementation of appropriate treatment plan and/or the facilitation of individual, group, family, and crisis counseling.File maintenance, dispense medication, incident reporting, shift change reporting, household duties as required.General security checks, headcounts.Communicate effectively and be able to use current technology in the following areas: case notes, incident reports, correspondence with community service providers.

• Research companies offering internship opportunities by various career fields, location, paid and volunteer, selecting those of interests for data entry into database• Gather and sort through hard copy and online resources of internship positions • Read descriptions, modify, and accurately data enter into SlugQuest database system • Contact companies providing internships and part-time jobs via email and on the phone to obtain details to post in SlugQuest and follow up on postings • Collaborate with UCSC Career Center Advisers and UCSC Departments to gather information for internships and volunteer opportunities • Read and research incoming internship and volunteer positions in SlugQuest and follow policy to properly flag positions and approve postings • Assist Employer Relations Specialist with recruiting events such as on-campus interview preparation and outreach • Other duties as assigned including assisting with events and fairs and occasionally cover Career Center front desk during Front Desk Coordinator’s breaks and lunch.

Assist the Employer Relations Specialist with On-Campus Interviews (OCI) activities such as: • Assist with data mining and collection of employer contact information and new leads • Research and respond to employer related inquiries as neededUC Santa Cruz• Contacting new companies to recruit for job and internship fairs• Connecting graduating students with hiring companies• Prepping interview rooms • Creating and setting up signage for employers'​ visit • Keeping stock/replenishing OCI items (water bottles, snacks, OCI packets) • Corresponding with employers regarding "day of" logistics (parking/directions) • Troubleshoot student application problems in SlugQuest via OCI office hours • Follow up with employers post fair with OCI invites • Update UC Santa Cruz Career Center webpage• Minor WCMS editing

Serve as the "Evening"​ Career & Bay Tree Conference Center Front Desk/Receptionist/Facilitator. Open or secure building (depending on shift)Unlock rooms or sign out room media keys as appropriate Make regular inspection roundsEnforce building policyPerform conference room set upsPerform minor custodial tasks sufficient to keep facility (conference rooms, hallway, restrooms, patio) neat; report maintenance or custodial problemsPrint out and post (to doors & bulletin boards) next day's schedule. Approve online reservations daily.
