Lee Co. Library, I covered many different jobs in a small library including Adult and YA programing and all elements of cataloging in Evergreen consortium. Adult programing included outreach to seniors including the Homebound program, presentations on Ancestry.com & managing local history & genealogy room, running the “Banned Books Club,” recruiting an "Artist of the Month" for foyer displays, and bi-weekly technology instruction. YA programing included Teen Book Club and crafts/STEM monthly including presentations on Solar Eclipse and 3D printing. Cataloging included original and copy cataloging, weeding collection, creating new cataloging rules, cleaning up the back-catalog, resolving missing and ILL issues, archiving newspapers (virtual & physical), handling donations, booksale rm, and sending materials to Better World Books. I ordered books for Children/YA/Graphic Novels, reconciled timecards in Kronos, created POs and reconciled invoices in Munis. I created Lee County Library’s social media, created advertising for newspaper and radio stations including published articles and broadcast live interviews. I represented the library at local meetings and local events. I trained volunteers, trained and instructed interns, and trained staff as needed. I created forms in Canva and photoshop for circulation and events, and created monthly and daily personnel schedules. I also had circulation duties and provided daily reference and computer assistance. In 2018, I began and solely managed Lee County Libraries’ Annual POP!-con, a Renaissance Faire/Comic Con, which included live and virtual interviews with artists and Hollywood celebrities, an Artists Alley with comic book artists and writers, tabletop and video game play, costume contest, film festival, medieval reenactors displaying historical life, and a shopping area with vendors of all kinds selling their handcrafted wares. In 2021, 1500 people attended. 2022 was my last year with the event, and 2500 people attended.

As Evening Librarian, I offered reference help both in-person at Lee campus and online, staffing NCKnows chat. I taught library literacy instruction to evening classes including but not limited to the use of Summon, EBSCOhost, NCLive and ProQuest. I collaborated with my fellow librarians on instructional design, teaching methods and assessment as well as performed outreach to other evening college staff. I worked with the Public Services Librarian on college archive materials including creating catalog records for a scrapbook project. I managed collection development for CCCC’s Chatham campus. I wrote the library newsletter and designed instruction materials and handouts. I closed the library Monday through Thursday with one assistant.
