I started as a one woman nail salon after a bad experience at the only other nail salon in Granbury. My nail business was so successful I was asked by my customers to add hair stylists which I did. It went on from there adding other requested services until we outgrew the space we were in and expanded to 2 acres just 3 miles from the current location.Provide services ranging from Manicure/Pedicures, Nail Enhancements, All Hair Services, Facials, Permanent Make-up, Wedding and Prom Special Needs and Therapeutic Massages. Designed a full service Laundromat with designer interior and attached full service Car Wash. Attached these two businesses to Blushes Salon so I had the ability to provide complementary services to all my customers. They had the ability to have their hair done, car washed and laundry done, all at the same time. This was so successful I was featured in 4 magazines and on the television show Good Morning Texas. My closest competition made me an offer i couldn't refuse so I went on with my other endeavors.

After moving into Granbury I went looking for some specific horse tack and the local place didn't carry anything like it and to make matters worse didn't even know what I was talking about. I went back home and decided to start my first business. I was told I would not be successful became I had no experience with a business. My response was maybe not but I know horses and people. We became the most successful tack place in town. At this point I expanded into the Pet Shop and ran both successfully unit the Sale in 1985

Full line Pet Shop with Boarding and Grooming. This was the first shop in town that included indoor outdoor runs. A concept way ahead of it's time. Although the town was much smaller at the time I was able to employ 3 full time groomers and 5 bathers.
