1989 - was meant to do PPE at a redbrick uni. 1990 - Got "distracted" in the sixth form and studied marketing at huddersfield Poly.1994 - graduated and played in rock bands and travelled. - couldn't be bothered to get a job . Earned a very small amount of money playing music but it was fun and we were almost famous . 1997. - realised everyone had more money / car / beer / clothes than me and got a job in recruitment - spent 7 years at Howard Jackson . Spent some time leading a sales team selling software to law firms . Set up Inward in 2007 . It did well !. I've earned a good living . And we've placed a lot of sales people and sales leaders . I reckon I've met and been involved with interviewing over 7000 sales people in my career. I've placed a good amount of those with some of the biggest and sexiest names in technology.I look back on a lot of my work and know that I've made plenty of people into millionaires with my knowledge, support and advice. Those people have built homes and families and retired because of some of the key moments I've shared with them. Proud? Damn right I am. I've been involved taking companies literally from good to great with the work that me and the team here at IRC have doneI've seen sales and tech careers rise and fall. I've seen companies come and go.I'm a sales geek. I love selling. I love the books. I love salespeople. I love being a salesman and I love being a recruiter. Outside of hanging around with my family and friends and watching Leeds Rhinos not a lot pleases me more than helping a salesperson get their career back on track or seeing a client turn around a tough situation with a thoughtful well advised hire from our team.I'd go as far as to say that I'm an expert in this game.If you know me you can call me J.GNowadays ? My view on recruitment has changed . Im stunned when I see clients spend money on recruitment fees for mid to low level vacancies . There's a better way and I can show you how . DM me for a chat .
