Instructing level 5 and 6 apprentices pursuing a BSc in Data Analytics teaching modules including Applied Stats, DevOps and strategies and ethics in data.

Currently spending 3 months in the Multiverse Academy learning the skills necessary to coach apprentices in through the Data Fellowship programme.

During this role as a freelance private tutor I have taught from KS3 to degree level in both Maths and Physics with the occasional Computer Science lesson. I have about 1000 hours of 1:1 experience as well as some experience in group tuition to classes of up to 10 students. I have had the pleasure of tutoring a wide variety of students both in person as well as adapting to fully online teaching due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have developed a strong profile on tutoring platform Tutorful (profile linked below), so much so that I have been personally asked to be involved in ventures such as their classes programs as well as an early tester of their built-in-house online classroom.

At RHUL, I was a member of the ATLAS group, a collection of academics, post doctoral researchers and research students working as part of the ATLAS experiment on the Large Hadron Collider at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva, Switzerland. My primary analysis during this research degree is concerned with the Higgs group, specifically as part of the team investigating the production of the Higgs boson particle in association with a pair of top quark particles. This channel allows us to measure how the Higgs boson can interact with massive particles like top quarks and has the potential to open a door to new physics beyond the standard model of particle physics. In addition to this, my time is also spent as part of the ATLAS trigger group, specifically as part of a future upgrade to the trigger system. My contributions have involved improving and optimising algorithms that deal with a particular part of the trigger process that ensures that high quality particle information is retained despite the hostile conditions that comes with so many simultaneous particle collisions that will take place in the next phase of the LHC's evolution.

During my time at Royal Holloway I have part taken in extra work as a teachers assistant and marker. I have TA'd for Scientific Computing and Mathematical Methods. For this role the TA must be prepared to answer any questions that the undergraduate students have and to assist them in the problem solving aspect of the courses. During these classes the TA must then mark the classwork and give feedback to the students.I marked the coursework for General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics courses. For this role, up to 60 scripts were marked and graded within a week of submission and any constructive feedback for the students was provided.

Responsibilities in this role included opening the building at 8 am on the weekend and locking up in the evening. It was also my responsibility to sit at reception and issue security tags to authorised personnel and visitors so that meetings could occur on the weekends and to also ensure that no one else could gain access to the building. In addition to this I was on hand to help out with any queries/any changes that needed to be made to the meeting rooms and to also clean up and set up meeting rooms for the following day.

This role included serving customers on any of the bars in Cardiff University's Student's Union in various venue settings such as gig's, club nights and in the university pub. Other responsibilities include cleaning the bars, re-stocking the fridges, washing the dishes and chef's utensils and carry out any other reasonable tasks that may be required of me.
