Working within a full-service market research agency, the Senior Research Manager role includes responsibility for the overseeing and day-to-day management of the Research Team, spanning line management, capacity and resource allocation, objective setting and improving processes. In addition, ensuring that the Research Team are delivering successful projects and working to achieve client satisfaction, while supporting the strategic aims of our clients/accounts, the team, and Vanson Bourne. Core areas of the role include:- Line management of multiple reports, including identifying training needs and coaching areas to develop and encourage progression. Managing the appraisal process, objectives and targets- Project supervision, including signing off deliverables, proactive management of resource and planning, and supporting individual (and team) coaching and development- Management of large scale research projects, from sales, scoping and questionnaire design, through to data analysis and presentation- Consulting and sales support, including proposal writing, costing and recommendations of best practice. This part of the role includes account management and development, to make sure that strategy and growth are key to the Research Team

The role requires excellent communication, while using strong analytical ability. I participate in fortnightly iteration meetings to discuss task completion and future direction for the project. Constantly refining computer skills using all aspects of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint. The project is structured in a new format and deemed highly successful by ‘Atsugi'.
