I am responsible for communicating with & quoting customers for simple tooling solutions to large turn-key project proposals and tool management in various sectors such as automotive, aerospace and fluid power, resulting in £10m+ of customer quotations yearly.

During my time in the inspection department I was responsible for the quality control of tooling manufactured in the workshop. This included checking for any defects or imperfections that were not to company standards, managing spares stock levels and setting tools to be sent to the customer and placed directly into the machine.

During my apprenticeship at Mapal Ltd I spent time in several different departments within the business. Starting on the manufacturing side on the shop floor, I took opportunities to broaden my knowledge in different stages of the manufacturing, logistics and sales process.

In this role I have helped run on and off Jaguar Land Rover Experience site events around the UK, which include high speed & handling track driving & instructing, ‘DDE’ 4X4 experiences, on-road customer drives and chauffeuring.Including knowledge and experience of advanced vehicle technologies such as dynamic driving modes, safety systems and off road features.

For the past 4 years I have co-hosted an interactive simulator lecture for the Motorsport Industry Association’s (MIA) School of Race Engineering course, which is ran from the Silverstone Museum twice a year. - In this role, I work alongside an experienced past F1 race engineer, our aim is to offer students of varying backgrounds, a detailed insight into the proceedings of a motorsport event whilst also providing an interactive race car setup session using a high end racing simulator and Motec data analysis. - The course proudly is an industry recognised programme and is the only one of its kind in the UK. Over the 5 years I have helped present on this course there has been over 150 students, of which many have progressed into race engineering roles.

Competed in motorsport events from the age of 10, starting in karting progressive through british championships into car racing. Progessed into car racing in 2017 and have competed in multiple series including GT, tin-top and NASCAR also providing personal 1-1 on track instructing.

Competed in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series for BRAXX Racing with 50% podium record throughout the season and 5th place overall in the championship.

Enjoyed many automotive events and new vehicle launches showcasing a number of vehicle manufactures new vehicle dynamics, technology and infotainment systems.

During my time working with the team I was responsible for ensuring the car was prepared for every session throughout the race weekend. This involved before manually adjusting the cars setup to try and get the best out of both car and driver.
