Explore Learning is a network of tuition centres offering memberships to families. I was responsible for the supporting the Centre Director in the overall business management, staff development and process procedures. (340+ children on membership, 25 tutors, 3 Assistant Directors). This was my first role upon graduating from Nottingham University.Duties• Conduct initial sessions with prospective members involving a tour, assessment and feedback to generate new business to promote the company and the services it offers.• Management of financial accounts for the centre, inclusive of debt collection, budgets, reporting, P&L and payroll.• Support the Centre Director in the running of the Centre and deputising in their absence.• Hold 1-1 parent meetings to answer all queries and demonstrate progress using various data and qualitative tools. • Maintain and build relationships with Head Teachers and Support Staff to allow free marketing to be conducted within their schools.• Recruit new member of staff through advertising and attending colleges, universities and careers fairs. Interviewing process consisted of role plays, observations and telephone/face to face interviews.• Analysing performance data from students and making recommendations based of these results.• Manipulating data from marketing campaigns to determine the best use of company’s resources when advertising.• Delivering marketing campaigns in order to promote the business and attract new membershipsAchievements• Built a reporting tool that encompassed four separate reports into one dashboard.• Thorough careful analysis of student data I was able to pin point amendments required in their education needs to ensure they achieved the best results. • Received numerous recognition and praise from management, colleagues and parents for my methodical and calm approach to problem solving.

Working in the Field Operations department of Diageo’s On-Trade Team on a summer internship whilst still studying at Nottingham University. I was given the responsibilities of a Graduate allowing me to take on more serious responsibilities and generate a true sense of pride in my own work.Duties• Running reports for all Diageo GB Account executives• Tasked with developing a streamline retroactive invoicing system for Diageo’s Account Executives• Monitor figures and performance data in order to advise on the development needs for new call rate targets• Creating potential activation plans for Diageo’s Smirnoff Brand in the Greater London area.Achievements• The new invoicing system I developed allowed for a more automated system vastly reducing admin time for account executives leading to an overall increase in average sale call rate.

The Aquor mission is to develop safe, affordable water to underprivileged communities in Africa, starting in Cameroon.Duties• Lead training and development for the company in order to bring all staff members up to speed on policies and procedures.• Educate schools, communities and business partners in Cameroon on water sanitization in order to understand the product that’s available to them. • Design dynamic and engaging lesson plans that linked local Cameroon schools with schools here in the UK to provide a partnership and a collaborative way of learning. • Contribute to new product development, financial, marketing and sales activities to increase brand awareness.

Responsible for teaching swimming programs during waterfront activity periods and offering periodic lifeguarding during free swim sessions. The job also required setting up evening camp activities and assisting in motivational and disciplinary campaigns. I worked closely with children who had a blend of physical, mental and financial challenges, coming from the less fortunate inner city Boston area. The opportunity to work is this challenging and dynamic environment was at some points stressful but extremely rewarding.

Working in Portcullis House at the office for the MP Adam Holloway. Duties included management of constituent communications and queries, minute taking during House of Commons sittings and select committee meetings and general office/ filing management in line parliamentary protocols.  The role allowed me to attain a basic understanding of how the public sector works and the role of an MP. I really enjoyed the constituent interaction which ranged from helping navigate visa applications to supporting the relocation of a mother in an abuse case.

I worked one-on-one with a severely autistic child, assisting him in physical, mental and social development.  My role was to ensure he followed the daily lesson plans and to monitor his development and interaction with other children. Towards the end of my time in the school I was asked to directly lead some of the lessons with him.  The main challenge was to keep him on track and to keep myself open minded as to what he was capable of.  I gained an understanding of really sensing an individual's desires and needs, outwith verbal communication, requiring me to be proactive in how I dealt with situations.
