Manager, Clinical Operations Business Analysts
Edinburgh
Managing the Clinical Operations Business Analyst group involves allocating workload, helping team members develop their skills and progress in their roles, and regular reporting including daily maintenance of a Workload tracker for a high throughput of projects, and weekly report distribution across Clinical Operations management teams, as well as undertaking functional duties myself. The group’s responsibilities include development of Clinical Monitoring strategies in line with RFPs and study protocols, and building Clinical budgets and drafting proposal text accordingly, for new business and some ongoing work. This requires manipulation of a complex Excel budget tool and resourcing of personnel for Clinical roles, primarily Clinical Team Leaders, through liaison with operational managers. This is successfully accomplished through effective collaboration within Clinical Operations (Line Managers, Country Managers) and through strong relationships with senior Project Management, the Budgets & Proposals group and Business Development colleagues. We look to build innovative monitoring strategies, balancing regulatory requirements, quality study execution, client requests and business demands, and drive initiatives to ensure budgets reflect reality, working on projects in any indication and across all phases of pharmaceutical and device development.
