During my final year of study I volunteered as a Teaching Assistant with refugees and disadvantaged children. In addition to helping to teach KS3 English, I led a team of volunteers tasked with retaining our funding from Children in Need, personally creating the questionnaire template used for conducting interviews with children and parents that supported our funding application. I then presented our findings to parents in a forum setting to discuss our identified areas for improvement, receive feedback and increase the project’s efficiency.
