Assisted offshore drilling team in delivery of 2 deepwater exploration wells from drillship, duties included:• Preparation of work instructions, casing tallies, equipment checks, all aspects of cementing, FIT/LOT, daily reporting requirements, non-conformance reporting, performance tracking.

Assured integrity of Apache’s aging North Sea well stock of 251 wells, duties included:• Daily monitoring and management of entire well stock across 8 platforms and 52 subsea wells.• Identification and risk assessment of anomalies, raising dispensations where appropriate and ensuring visibility within organisation.• Team building via close engagement with offshore Well Services Supervisors, Production Operations and service companies to ensure safe, prompt and cost-effective delivery of objectives.• QA/QC of offshore data using Wellview (for daily reports) and Expro Safewells (for well integrity).• Direct experience with a multitude of well types, including free flowing oil producers, gas lifted producers, ESP producers, water injectors, cuttings reinjectors, gas injectors.• Direct experience with a variety of dry and wet wellhead & xmas tree equipment from the major OEMs.

Well Operations and Integrity Engineer for BG's 3 North Sea operated platforms. Typical duties included all aspects of planning and executing Well Interventions, ensuring safe and effective delivery of objectives. In parallel, I tracked and maintained BG's aging well stock, planning remedial operations and interventions as anomalies arise.Prior to this, I worked as a Well Design Engineer for an eHPHT development in the North Sea. Specialist skills developed include casing design using advanced methods (i.e. Limit State Design & Reliability Based Design) which saw me also providing support to other assets in the wider BG Group.

As Oil Company Representative (OCR), I provided 24 hour supervision and leadership of all aspects of Well Construction, HSSE Management and Logistics Planning for a coal seam gas drilling rig.Building and maintaining a safety culture based on North Sea standards whilst continuously delivering improved efficiency was a key challenge and it was fantastic to see the challenge ultimately met. As well as the normal duties, the role also saw me engaging with a variety of stakeholders including Land Holders, Government Regulators, Land Access and Construction Teams.

Tunisia - Worked as WSDE offshore Tunisia on a jackup using MPD to drill a heavily fractured formation. Exposed to Jackup Operations, MPD, Completions and Well Testing.Egypt - Worked as Operations Engineer for a Subsea Workover campaign from a Semi-Submersible Rig. I was charged with Well Programming, Logistics Management, Performance tracking, incorporating lessons learned and overseeing some 3rd party contractors.Norway - Well Planning Engineer. Assisted in the FEED of a subsea development consisting of 5 oil wells and 2 seawater / gas injection wells. I worked on the preliminary Well Trajectory Planning, Casing Design and Torque / Drag Analysis as well as building a probabilistic time-cost model for the entire $350m drilling campaign. Separately, I also gained exposure to deepwater exploration as a WSDE.In parallel to all of the above, I completed an intensive training programme, culminating in a formal Well Engineering Competency Exam which I passed with Distinction. I was also assessed and awarded with Chartered status from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

Mechanical Design Engineer developing deepwater drilling equipment. I was charged with the design and prototype manufacture and testing of 2 key systems, a High Pressure Slip Joint, and an Annular Cutting Tool to replace shear rams.
