I possess good problem-solving skills, am logical and analytically minded and am comfortable communicating and explain my work to others, having won several awards for this. Research involving solar thermal fuels and their automotive applications, the synthetic development of these materials including the incorporation to polymer systems, as well as the understanding of the material properties and their interconnected effects, demonstrating both computational and synthetic techniques.I have experience in both chemistry and physics to degree level and have undertaken teacher training courses resulting in becoming an associate fellow of the HEA MChem Graduate in Chemistry having completed projects entitled "Nematic Liquid Crystals as Sensors and Actuators" and "Synthesis and Characterisation of Graphene and Carbon Nanomaterials"
