I have been working as a QA Engineer for Avalanche Studios on 'Call of the Wild: The Angler' for nearly 2 years now. During my time here, I have had the opportunity to vastly increase my skills as a QA Engineer. I have achieved this by creating test plans, delivering and confirming builds for submission, and by taking ownership of design features for QA. This involves gathering documentation, working with designers to ensure features are testable, and making sure they are working as intended before completing a full pass and marking the feature as done.I have also worked alongside the engine team to deliver and test integration builds, confirming that they are ready to be integrated and minimize damages to the main build that myself and the developers work from, in order to avoid setbacks and distractions from normal testing. More recently, I helped test and simultaneously ship 'The Angler' across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Steam, Epic Games, and Windows Store in one giant release.I have undertaken the following responsibilities during my current employment at Avalanche:*Worked closely with developers and production to report, retest, and confirm issues with the project.*Guided new employees and helped them adapt to team-specific practices and procedures for bug reporting, as well as working with the other teams on the title and console testing.*Worked alongside our engine team to integrate changes and fixes.*Simultaneously shipped on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Steam, Epic Games, and Windows Store.*Developed test plans and improved my own test cases to fit the testing of the 7 different platforms.*Worked on XR/TRC testing for DLC packages and multiplayer and online testing.

During my time with the SWQA team, I transitioned to the night shift, initially expecting the challenge of working through the night. Surprisingly, this shift change brought about several advantages. It provided me with invaluable experience in testing not only the standard consoles and accessories but also immersive VR products and firmware.A significant opportunity arose when I was entrusted with leading a group of a dozen new testers. The team had to be divided into two rooms due to Covid regulations, and I took charge of guiding and supervising this fresh set of testers. This role allowed me to hone my skills in developing effective test plans, adapting and refining them based on the audience that needed to execute or act upon them.
