I am a Accounting and Finance student currently studying at Nottingham Trent University. I have gained an interest in business, the possible issues surrounding the industry (such as attacks on personal information) and the laws surrounding the industry.Currently in my first year of studies at NTU. I have been required to make profit and loss statements as well as the statement of financial position. How to check for errors and fix them, the laws behind the industry, common misconceptions with the industry, the importance of confidentiality and safety procedures. My studies will be completed at the end of June 2021/22 (Depending on if I get a placement or not).

I worked in this role for one year to get some day to day experience of job life. I worked on the backdoor as well as shop floor. Dealing with customers on a day to day to day basis has helped me improve my people skills, especially when dealing with customers who were frustrated at a situation. Learning to take control and sort these issues has improved my confidence. Furthermore, the back-door has made me understand the absolute need for good time management skills. Taking on the role of a supermarket (often by myself) there was a huge amount of stock entering the store and needing to do separated, failure to hit deadlines led to customers often not being able to purchase products. An example of this is unloading and delivering the milk load in the morning, customers often come in at a certain time and there’s an expectation for the milk to be on the shelves. Being reliable improved the reputation as Sainsburys as a workplace and myself as a worker.

I have worked as a Kent FA referee. This was for the East Kent Youth League with fixtures all around Kent. In my first season I officiated most weekends of the season including the U 18 Cup final as AR.
