Responsible for the profitable operation of B&Q's Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom Installation business in Scotland. Installing over 2000 projects each year. Latterly seconded to lead or support various projects designed to improve the Homefit business

Initially seconded in to the position with a brief to establish and develop the new role of Compliance Manager. I worked to change culture and improve process in order to to drive down specific losses including stock shrinkage, discount, and fraud and to ensure shop operational compliance in areas to include H&S, data protection, POS, training and store reviews. Included input at Retail Board level.

I was Area Manager of Orange mobile telecoms stores. I managed various areas, mainly Scotland, the North East and Northern Ireland and was responsible for maximising area profitability through sales performance and cost control and for delivering exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities included developing staff and management teams through effective recruitment, training, coaching, team building and succession planning.

I managed an area ultimately consisting of 31 upper mid-market fashion shoe shops with an annual turnover in excess of £27 million and over 450 staff. My area extended from Glasgow to North London and included Wales and Ireland. I had the added responsibility of an Area Visual Merchandiser in the field.
