As a Senior Data Analyst at bet365, my main duties include: generating and presenting data insights, creating and productionising machine learning performance metrics, conducting complex statistical analysis and building reporting dashboards. In addition to this, I assist the wider team with aggregation, storage and maintenance of complex data sets across multiple servers, working in several programming languages, including SQL, Python and R. I work collaboratively with senior management, Chief Operating Officers and external third parties to optimise and facilitate business growth and revenue by offering supportive statistical insight and recommendations. This includes the creation and automation of machine learning algorithms, involving both supervised and unsupervised learning.

As a mid-level Data Analyst, I took on more complex analytical pieces and machine learning projects. I created advanced reporting dashboards containing bespoke performance metrics. I often used applications such as R and Python to manipulate and transform high dimensional data into more interpretable, measurable indicators. I began taking an active role in team development, promoting team collaboration and knowledge sharing in the form of brainstorming sessions and project catch-ups.

As a Junior Data Analyst, I conducted promotion-based analytical pieces, which often involved statistical analysis, such as A/B testing. I also took an active role in the maintenance of several machine learning models and automated processes, reviewing and optimising codes where necessary.

As part of a tailored graduate scheme, I trained as a Supervisor within the Customer Service department. During this time, I was responsible for a team of Advisors, as well as a Team Leader. I was required to handle escalations and complex queries, and assist the team where necessary. I was responsible for team development, which included setting Personal Development Plans and conducting contact analysis. I was also involved in the formal management process where necessary.
