I am a mechatronics engineer with a passion for all new and innovative technologies. This passion was built growing up always being interested in how everything works pulling things apart and sometimes getting them back together. Adding to this I have been involved in and competed in motorsport at a national level since I was 7 years old exposing me to mechanical, electrical and software engineering from a young age. All of this led to me undertaking a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Auckland.My current role within Zuru Tech has involved software/automation development in order to create an Industry 4.0 capable factory. With a large period of this time being based in Shenzhen, China I have not only been able to grow my personal skills within my role but also gain a large understanding of automated manufacturing and product development with both the final product quality and manufacturability in mind. This experience has led to me being involved with managing the development of software for operating an Industry 4.0 factory and product development targeting the prefabricated construction market. To add to this, my experience in competing in motorsport has given me the opportunity to build skills in public speaking, building beneficial relationships with commercial partners to create marketing opportunities and working in collaboration with people at all levels of organisations. Also during my time at University I was involved in managing/Engineering/Driver Training a motorsport team of 4 cars (8-10 people) which required multi-tasking and time management combined with technical knowledge to ensure all required tasks were completed during a competition.I consider myself to be hard working and focused on success in the areas I set out to achieve. It is important to me to earn people's respect as I go through life.
