Hello! I am a dedicated, driven individual who seeks out every excuse for a learning opportunity. My favourite part about each unique comment, task, or difficult resident is what I learn from it, whether it applies to enhancing my conflict resolution ability, learning something completely new, or strengthening my communication skills.I am a third-generation professional student, with each generation attending school while working full-time. This has enhanced my time management and organizational abilities, as it takes a lot of each to work, attend class and stay sane. I am currently in school at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) to obtain my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration and Governance, and once completed, the next step in my education plan is to attend Western University to achieve my Master's in Public Administration. After completion, I will be looking to register for the AMCTO courses for the Executive Diploma in Municipal Management and procure my CMO and PMP designations. Before beginning my career within the municipal office, I worked as a server at a few different restaurants, from upscale to the neighbourhood breakfast place. Here is where I began to cultivate my communication, conflict management, organizational and timing skills. From here, I have been able to learn and gain experience with every encounter and new job. I chose this career path at 17 because I want to be a part of making my community and area better. As municipalities offer the most accessible and direct gateway between the public and the government, this is where I chose to be and gain experience to best serve my area.
