Pangolin Associates is a leading Australian energy and carbon management consultancy. They work with companies to achieve efficiencies and reduce their environmental impact by calculating and analysing their emissions. Main services include greenhouse gas assessments (organisation, product and/or event), energy efficiency audits and verifications - e.g. certifying a product as carbon neutral.- Constructed a comprehensive emissions dataset from Pangolin’s entire client history, sourced from individual excel files. Wrote R scripts to gather, clean and structure this data. This was used for emissions benchmarking by company auditors and formed the basis for the company’s new database- Assisted the company in the design and direction of their new database- Independently designed and built an interactive dashboard for senior management to analyse workload and performance across individual consultants, teams and the company as a whole. This provided invaluable insights, facilitating better organisational decisions.

Gosport & Fareham Multi-Academy Trust is group of academy schools in the south of England.The organisation uses a variety of different apps as teaching, testing and homework tools. All of the apps are independent of one another and there was no existing system in place to compile all this data together. - Successfully designed and implemented a system from the ground up to automate the collection and cleansing of student data from various independent learning apps, with the objective of providing teachers, parents and students with clearer insights from learning data- Wrote and developed Python and R scripts to log in and extract the data from each site, before cleaning and arranging it clearly for visualisation. This automated program not only informed teachers to give students personalised support, but also resulted in considerable time-savings- Delivered a successful project handover to the organisation

The Marine division of Victor Insurance provides a service to insurance companies to do the underwriting and calculate the associated risk of a particular ship/fleet. - Constructed statistical models (multiple linear regression) for offshore small boats and specialty vessels. These models were built in R and were used to create new insurance products and enhance existing ones. Example models included: the expected value of a vessel as well as the likelihood of a particular vessel to have a Total Loss event.- Prepared and cleaned huge datasets (500k+ entries), before engaging in statistical analysis and modelling – all using R- Delivered my findings in bi-monthly presentations to senior team members, including company leaders
