In the newly created Director of Project Delivery position, I am tasked with improving delivery of all IM/IT capital and special projects in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General. Specifically, in building and leading the new Delivery Division, overseeing the delivery of the large value Capital IM/IT Project Portfolio, as well as the Application Modernization Portfolio. Within this new role, I have been planning, hiring and building out the new Delivery Division, developing the new staff as we take on active roles in the projects under our care. The large-scale application modernization portfolio is an effort to modernize the sector’s 30-year-old legacy applications across the numerous client branch’s that we support.

As Executive Director overseeing the sector's strategic IM/IT projects and large-scale application modernization efforts, I am tasked with continuing to lead and improve the delivery of IM/IT capital projects in the Ministry of the Attorney General, Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, as well as supporting projects from the newly formed Ministry of Housing. Specifically tasked to build and lead the Information Systems Branch's Delivery Division, I oversee the development and delivery of the sector's Capital IM/IT Project Portfolio, as well as leading the large scale Justice Application Modernization Project. As a key member of ISB’s Branch Management Committee, I work with other Executive Directors to improve ISB as a whole - supporting major strategic organizational change initiatives to develop an efficient organizational structure.As requested by the MCIO, I am leading and involved in various initiatives to improve ISB's value proposition within projects, as well as increasing our overall alignment with the Digital Code of Practice and to support emerging client-based Product Teams.

As Director, Client Services I developed numerous departmental process improvements. These included implementing a branch wide centralized project tracking and reporting framework, along with driving a pivot to modern project initiation and tracking that targets delivery focused solutions, rather than overcomplicated process for the sake of process.My pursuit of repeatable, integrated, and simplified process changes has created clarity in a previously convoluted project delivery space, allowing for more clear business decision making, resource allocation, and early response to risks and problems. Promoting common components via socialization of initiatives and tools has also been another main goal of my tenure at the Information Systems Branch.

As Chief Information Officer for Plena Global Holdings Inc (an international B2B supplier of medical grade cannabis), responsibilities included implementation, construction and deployment projects as well as budget modeling, strategic planning and system automation.Accomplishments included:- Built credibility, developed partnerships, and aligned technologies and financing in pursuit of operational excellence. - Supported business leadership as well as strategy and operational teams, - Facilitated understanding of the opportunity and costs associated with different proposals and supported impactful financial decision making.- Established best practices for budgeting, infrastructure and systems within the team while focusing on effectiveness and efficiency.- Oversaw line managers and the help desk team. - Maintained best IT practices, infrastructure, redundancy, security, and compliance. - Focused on seeking out value add opportunities and reducing team frustrations with new, cutting edge technology.

As the Director of IT, researched, designed and implemented company-wide systems, tools and platforms that were globally-scalable, robust, and secure, leading Plena into the next generation of cloud systems. Accomplishments included:- Engaged multi-national teams to bring benefit to the business and added well honed processes and practices required for a rapidly growing company. - Implemented and scaled the global infrastructure from the initial team of 4 to a team of 150+ valued individuals.

As one of the initial contracted staff via Helmsman Management I lead the IT infrastructure development of this international biopharmaceutical company.Accomplishments included: - Designed, implemented and managed all aspects of IT architecture in a start-up environment, coordinating and deploying an IT system that was scalable, cost effective and globally accessible. - Addressed cyber-security, traceability and compliance, while meeting logistical challenges with a globally de-centralized team. - Marketing, website development, and multiple project management outside of the IT scope was required. - Developed IT infrastructure across four countries.

As one of the founding members of Helmsman (a company providing management services to organizations in different industry sectors and stages) I operated as IT Systems Architect and Administrator, as well as a Project Manager, Strategic Planner and Property Manager for a portfolio totaling +/-12M.Services provided to Helmsman’s clients included:- ad-hock project management- IT architecture design and deployment (internal and for clients)- RRO management for 180+ corporate entities- Marketing management and strategy- Website development- Design of logos and branding- Database management- File systems management

Free Green Space is entrepreneurial endeavor that would address unsightly and abandoned gas station sites by creating temporary green space for public use. As President and Founder, I created the company concept and operational plan, web development, design, and performed the market research. - It is pending investment and time to pursue.

This start-up business was based on the decentralized B2C model for tour operators and local guides. As founder, I lead conception, design, and implementation of the platform based, peer-to-peer multi-vendor marketplace. I also focused on branding, web design, product development, business planning, strategic analysis and market analysis.

Coordinated and directed marketing portfolio, IT and other business initiatives for this large scale tourist attraction.This included:- Creation and management of new marketing programs and initiatives for a large scale tourist attraction in the Yukon that sees upwards of 800 guests per day. This included creation of physical signage, ad design in magazines and pamphlets and pointed use of large marketing funds for promotion of the museum and facility.- Creation of new exhibits, ground-up research. - Tasked with gaining government grants and was successful for over $200K in tourism and marketing grants.- Maintained IT systems and oversaw museum projects.

A three-month contract to coordinate asset recovery and to begin the process of implementing a full-scale asset management system. Organization and coordination of complex lease arrangements, along with server and network dismantling and repositioning. Operations co-ordinated and conducted in 5 national offices.

My position had three components, spanning both Government and VIHA contracts. - My primary responsibility was managing a semi-automated software installation system through BCWSS RDM tickets. This ranged from 70-200 tickets/day and needed everything from simple date data entry and completion within 'Maximo', to troubleshooting and using multiple different tools to push the ticket through to completion.- I was also able to work on BCWSS (BC Government) office moves. This involved set-up and moving of physical hardware, patching connections within data closets, dealing with clients face to face, and general on-the-spot troubleshooting of client needs and requests.- I also gave VIHA IMAC assistance. This ranged from 2-4 hours most days and comprised of installation of software, hardware, and general troubleshooting for Health Authority personnel.

Responsibilities included:- Front desk reception, signing for deliveries and responding to inquires.- Sample receiving, sample registration and test recommendations and scientific data analysis. - Client management and care, troubleshooting, filing, accessing, maintaining, and - Ensuring the quality and consistency of a database, generating reports using alpha and numeric entries and queries and forwarding results to clients.
