About Calum L. Leslie

I started out my journey in the tech industry after founding Wooju, a social decision making app that featured on Dragons Den S13, appeared in a Hollywood movie, raised a round of funding and attracted hundreds of thousands of users. Next stop, the world of whisky. As a whisky drinker I respect the history and legacy of Scotch. As an entrepreneur I am constantly striving to challenge the status quo and change the way that whisky is discovered, delivered and appreciated. In line with this, I founded my own brand of whisky called Peatreekers (www.peatreekers.com), an Islay blended malt whisky inspired by the defiance, bravery, and cunning of Scotland’s forgotten illicit distillers. Launched November 2017, we secured a number of on-trade and off-trade listings in the UK and a handful of International markets.Late 2019 I was offered a position as Head of Innovation at Loch Lomond Group to identify opportunities in the spirits industry and fulfil by creating new to world brands. Since joining, I've created and launched Spearhead whisky (www.spearheadwhisky.com), Noble Rebel blended malt Scotch whisky (www.noblerebelmalts.com), Plant Hunter rum (www.planthunterrum.com) and Forrit hard seltzer (www.forritdrinks.com).
