Originally a temporary role, however after being a full time temporary worker for a couple of months I was offered a full time contract in December 2013.My main responsibility is to pack lampshades securely and effectively so they can be despatched around the world. In addition to this I am in charge of despatching lampshades (using Fed Ex, Motorlink and TNT), stock taking (Excel) and ordering boxes. I have also been responsible for creating sales orders from purchase order numbers (Excel, Syspro) and organising lampshade rings to be sent to our suppliers in Norfolk and London.I have also produced various posters for the company, as well as a short video and photography from the annual 3 day sale.

Around the time I was studying at Alton College I decided to set up a company to create my films and pieces of work under. CRLMEDIA specialises in creating high quality videos for companies, charities, musicians and organisations.

After I graduated from Farnham UCA I was able to gain some work experience with Hampshire/Petersfield based music festival Butserfest run by East Hants District Council (EHDC). I was hired, along with two others, to help promote the festival. My responsibilities were as follows:• Post from Facebook, Twitter & Youtube.• Create engaging and original content.• Run competitions on social media. • Put up posters around Petersfield and surrounding areas. • Brainstorm with Butserfest team on which marketing materials will work best.• Visit schools and Colleges, giving away free merchandise.I also had the chance to create a number of videos and edit some of the self shot material sent to us by the bands/sponsors. These videos are shown below.

Petersfield

I started working at Travis Perkins while studying at Farnham UCA. This job was on a 0 hour basis so I could continue studying and work in the holidays and on occasional weekends. My main responsibilities were to keep the working enviroment clean and tidy, re price stock, serve and help customers and assist with deliverys. On occasion I was also a drivers mate, assisting with deliverys by hand. Working with the driver was a great experience as it gave me more of an understanding of where our customers were working, and the problems that they may incur.

Petersfield

I started working at Focus DIY as a part time Sales Assistant / Warehouse Assistant while attending Alton College. My main duties were to keep the store clean, assist customers with DIY needs, Serve customers and assist with deliverys. I felt I excelled in product knowledge as I am interested in DIY materials and tools. This helped me assist customers with their problems. Focus DIY helped me develop my face to face skills.
