Hello,I am an outgoing and motivated person who has taken on a new mission since retiring from the US Army. I have found my passion in software engineering, and have made my new mission to succeed and excel in this field. I consider myself a life-long learner and appreciate the fact that computer science is constantly changing and moving forward. In addition to my learning at UW, I am taking any opportunity I can to enrich my learning. I worked with Habitat for Humanity early in 2017, helping the local branch migrate to a new database for their volunteer data. Additionally, I have participated in some coding challenges and worked on a web application for tabletop gaming as a side project. I have worked with Boeing on software projects related to F15/FA18 and the International Space Station. Currently I am developing next generation satellite systems for Lockheed Martin remotely from my hobby farm in Longview, WA.
