Currently teaching INDS 211: History of Industrial Design and INDS 331: From Process to Product. Guiding students through the evolution of industrial design and teaching how to take concepts from initial idea to final product

Developed new spinal implants and instruments in compliance with FDA and ISO standards. Created 3D models and technical drawings for subtractive and additive manufacturing processes. Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Quality, Clinical, and Regulatory, to ensure alignment and project success. Managed the complaint handling process for all devices and maintained the in-house rapid prototyping machine. Engaged with surgeons and other stakeholders to gather design inputs and provide technical support for new and legacy products. Assisted in patent processes by preparing invention records and working with patent counsel.

Led and mentored a team of talented mechanical and biomedical engineers in the design, engineering, and development of orthopedic medical devices, packaging, surgical navigation accessories, and instruments. Focused on creating patient-specific instrumentation and innovative devices for shoulders, hips, and knees using additive manufacturing. Extensive experience with FDA submissions, device testing, and regulatory processes. Served as a Subject Matter Expert in imaging, case processing, instrument design, and clinical applications for shoulder and hip arthroplasty. Played a key role on the Management Leadership Team and was the project lead for the SmartSPACE Hip program, overseeing surgical guidance, surgical software planning, and mechanical engineering

Worked directly with engineering, marketing, and management to create compelling products and packaging.

Developed and manage budgets for packaging projects. Oversee packaging vendors and review proposals and quotations for new or modified packaging. Procure reusable and disposable packaging for mass production and maintain direct interactions with customers, suppliers, and vendors as a company representative. Provide technical support for PC and Logistics, including monitoring and developing packaging systems, troubleshooting packaging issues, and implementing countermeasures. Assist with coordinating new product activities and lead cost-reduction initiatives for packaging and handling.
