As a Game Room Committee Lead, I complete all of the tasks of a Game Room Event Planner, as well as being given some additional tasks:-Assists in leading weekly meetings with 20 people in attendance, going over weekly updates about our events and how we can work to improve them.-Help committee members with their events through the planning and execution stages.-Work with other committee leads on how to enhance our events and make them the best experience they can be for attendees.-Plan weekly trivia, including prize selection, question writing, and other event enhancements with a weekly budget of $300. Then, I host trivia every week and speak in front of 200 student attendees. -Plans one additional event per semester with a budget of $1000.-Creates offer letters and contracts to book talent for events.-Develop lasting relationships with event collaborators.-Promotes the events by talking to media outlets and sharing information on social media and in person.

During my 6 weeks as a marketing and communications intern, I worked with my team to complete a variety of tasks involving both external and internal communication: - With the PR team, I worked to pitch stories to media outlets about cancer survivors and cancer research breakthroughs that would go on to become stories in the news and on the radio. - I worked with the social media management team to conduct monthly advertising reports that showed increased engagement on social media platforms.- In collaboration with the blog writing team, I assisted in writing 5 blogs that were then published on the Cancer Council NSW website. I also helped interview some of the cancer survivors featured on the blog.
