Omega Optical is amazing -- very few companies can claim their products perform on another planet. You might not know it, but any Hubble photo from 1993-2009 and all 356,995 pictures captured on the Martian surface by rovers Spirit and Opportunity were imaged using an Omega filter. This includes the Hubble deep field -- which shows the impossible magnitude of our universe, and is arguably one of the most important images humanity has ever taken.In my current role, I am a member of the growing marketing team, and manage the paid and organic social media while assisting with our overall digital strategy and lead generation.

-Worked directly with VP of Business Development and Marketing to build a digital campaign plan, which was accepted after my presenting to the CEO and senior staff members. -Successfully assessed, decided on, and helped create a strategic implementation plan for a project management software solution over the course of 3 months. Generated and presented a use-case and ROI for multiple solutions to the CEO and senior management team.-Designed and created an automated email iPad tool to replace the use of paper flyers at conventions. This sustainable solution now provides requested information to potential customers, smoothes the sales pathway, and collects information for business intelligence and future targeted marketing, all while highlighting the strong environmental commitment of the firm. -Conducted competitor research to improve firm’s understanding of market share and website use-case. Performed a holistic analysis of competitors' websites and social media platforms, which informed a website redesign. -Gained valuable experience in management best-practice techniques by working closely and daily with the VP. Observed and advised on internal troubleshooting and problem-solving.-Represented OMEGA at the SPIE Astronomical Telescopes & Instrumentation Convention in Austin, Texas-Constructed and presented a 45-slide capstone presentation to a large audience of both staff and senior management, documenting my efforts and laying the framework for future advancement.

-Identified and then automated a CRM import problem, unexpectedly saving H&B over $6,000 in planned data-entry labor cost. -Created an audit script to automatically flag potential miscodes in producer data for the accounting team. -Identified and created a plan for monthly financial reporting dashboards for senior management-Wrote Macros to assist with repetitive monthly Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, and Direct Bill tasks, significantly reducing the time and human-user-strain associated with each.-Performed Bank Reconciliations, Month-Start/End Accounting tasks, Direct Bill, and Accounts Receivable tasks. -Created a Macro to undo an employee error, where contact information for ~600 clients were mistakenly deleted. This program used OCR recognition to sift through the vast CRM database, identifying errors and recreating contact information based on the client's other account data, solving a week's worth of work in under one day.
