While contracting with Insight Global the role was WiFi survey, design, build, and go-live) for Presidio doing two long term projects for CHS (Community Health Systems) and Johnson Control International in the Baptist Memorial Hospital facilities.

While with UT Medical Group was the Senior Network Engineer. His role had responsibility for managing the day-to-day network operations over UTMG’s 18 locations in Tennessee along with the design and security of Metro Ethernet WAN, Internet, WiFi, P2P vendor circuits, VPN IPSEC and client access. As senior staff he was part of UTMG’s disaster recovery and mitigation team.

AIX and Network Administrator overseeing multiple locations and warehouse management systems.While with CDS , his role was the AIX system and network engineer. CDS (now Perseus Distribution)was the largest independent book distributor in North America) located in Jackson, TN.

As IT Division manager and Project Director was deeply rooted in the broadcast area as an employee of Westinghouse / CBS / Viacom. As one of four Y2K Czars starting in 1998 reporting directly to the CEO, CFO, CIO of CBS. Cal left Viacom when his division (Group W Network Servicesl) was sold to Liberty Livewire (now Ascent Media) because of the client relationship with the other major cable television networks (A&E, Discovery, Speed Vision, ect..).
