I am a Civil Engineering student at the Singapore Institute of Technology.In the final year of my diploma studies, I undertook a three months internship position at one of the consultant firm mainly dealing with Geotechnical aspect in construction in Singapore. I was pleased to be provided with opportunities to apply the knowledge gained and practice the technical skills I acquired during my studies to solve real work problems in the construction sector.As a Geotechnical Intern, I was tasked to draft AutoCAD drawing from the full time engineers and correct the mistakes that are made in the AutoCAD drafts. I was responsible in the calculations of drainage system to ensure that the discharge and velocity of the drain is at an optimal rate.My degree studies have provided me with broad proficiency in the use of various design software such AutoCAD, Revit, Geoplaxis and Plaxis 2D.
