The Senior Director of Innovation (SDI) is responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing innovative programs, strategies, and solutions that address the unique needs and challenges in the human services field, specifically in residential care for youth. This role requires a creative thinker, a strategic planner, and a compassionate leader who can drive positive change. The SDI plays a critical role in driving change and new growth, cultivating innovation capabilities within the organization, and promoting the value and influence innovation can offer This role provides oversight to the Director of Development, the Director of Professional Learning and Development and the Supervisor of Educational Programming. The Program Director is responsible for the overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of Cottage Life care and services.• Continuously evaluates the quality of services and efficiency of cottage life programs and shelter, in order to ensure the highest quality of service is provided.• Develops, plans, and implements strategies for internal program growth.• Provides operational oversight to cottages and shelter program.• Provides youth, placing agencies, and family/legal guardians with requested information about program specifics.• Coordinates crisis management planning with administrators and supervisors.• Lead team member on all investigations regarding youth and team members. oversees all aspects of educational programming including recreation, music, and art.• Responsible for all training, onboarding, and performance management for supervised team members.• Adheres to and engages in hiring and progressive disciplinary procedures.• Assesses team member competencies using the results from performance improvement activities.• Collaborates with Leadership team to ensure best practices are utilized across the organization.

• Creates, evaluates and assigns action steps to implement the SOP to team.• Provides uniform guidance on SOP and clarity of responsibilities and assigned duties to team.• Creates procedures to assure the safety of all persons while present on campus.• Implements procedures to protect property, including buildings, groups, equipment/other assets, as well as non-company property located temporarily or permanently on campus.• Carries out emergency disaster plan drills or activities, or assigns to Team Members. • Creates and carries out procedures related to managing campus visitors.• Maintains all company-provided equipment with duty of care to ensure safe operation/upkeep.• Reacts promptly and correctly in emergency situations.• Patrols assigned area on foot, in assigned motor vehicle, or other specialized vehicle to ensure personal, building, and equipment security as well as parking violations and compliance.• Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities.• Informs/warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.• Provides escort services for visitors, youth, Team Members, as necessary; provides other assistance, such as lockout services, jump-starts, and routine information.• Watches for and reports irregularities, such as security breaches, facility/safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as needed.• Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators; approaches suspicious persons and/or notifies police as appropriate; may confront violators, as required, until police arrive.• Investigates incidents/accidents and prepare routine, standardized incident reports.• Assists municipal, county and state police agencies.• Responsible for training, onboarding and performance management for supervised team.

• Trains and provides ongoing mentoring to supervised staff.• Conducts regular individual supervisions.• Maintains accurate recordkeeping and submits timely approvals for staff benefit time and payroll records.• Ensures supervised staff are current on required trainings and renewals are completed before expiration.• Creates, reevaluates and modifies training curriculum in accordance with DHS 3800 Regulations and Bethany’s strategic plan.• Creates, reevaluates and modifies training materials in a manner to address different learning styles.• Creates and administers training assessment and evaluation tools to measure effectiveness. • Schedules and delivers in-house training for all staff to comply with training curriculum.• Educates staff and enforces compliance of training regulations with the cooperation of other supervisory staff and by providing reasonable notice and access to training classes, meetings and materials.• Analyzes training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.• Prepares training budget for the corporation.• Oversees the learning management system by creating and modifying online courses.
