But really, it’s a key to life’s adventures: the nudge you need to go and do something really quite extraordinary.I’m also behind the Indytute (www.indytute.com), which launched October 2013 in Selfridges. Providing brilliantly inspired experiences, it focused on curating capsule workshops for businesses across London. The Indytute is now number 1 for gift experiences in London; since COVID-19 we pivoted into home kits and experiences online. In 2021, we were a finalist for the O2 Everyday Business Hero Award, and a finalist for The Great British Entrepreneur Awards (Pivot Entrepreneur of the Year).After Covid hit I started Deal Delivers to showcase all the small businesses offering delivery services in my hometown in Kent during lockdown. You can now find a hub in five other UK locations, and each one is designed to make it simple for the community to shop local.And if you cast your mind back, you might recall the Clippykit: a PVC bag to show off your momentos and Polaroids. I invented this sitting at my kitchen table over 20 years ago; well before the invention of Instagram. The bags were a hit; they went viral and could be spotted everywhere in London.
