Acute care physician for a branch medical clinic serving predominantly military members but also their spouses and children.

Conducted medical legal reviewing using the Sequoia Port platform. Case content included workman's compensation claims, state medical utilization reviews, and personal claims. Independently prepared reports for legal teams that directly affected the outcomes of cases.

On site physician coverage for IV contrast reactions during CT and MRI studies.

5 hours per day I worked in the hematology department of the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Hospital Laboratory. My duties included receiving specimens, loading instruments, performing various blood and tissue stains, clerical duties, and instrument quality control and maintenance.

6 week platoon leaders course. Amazing experience and instilled a mental fortitude like no other challenge I have endured. I chose not to continue on to become a Marine officer but look forward to serving as a Navy Physician.

Worked for 2 years as an inpatient phlebotomist at Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa primarily on evening and night shifts. Often worked alone on the night shift and was responsible for drawing blood in all wards of the hospital including pediatrics, neonates, intensive care units, and geriatrics. Was recognized for being an excellent phlebotomist and responsible team player. I was concurrently going to school at Santa Rosa Junior College and would work 8 hour night shifts and attend classes throughout the day and maintaining straight A's nearly every semester.
