Worked on all stages of various pipeline projects (both large and small diameter) including cost estimating, FEED, detailed design, and field engineering. In the office, have been responsible for preparing data sheets, reports, calculations, engineering drawings, and assembly of cost estimates. Have been responsible for managing geotechnical investigation scopes of work, managing teams to produce permitting support maps, and have provided input to estimates for change orders and MOCsWorked in the field on multiple occasions gaining experience in the construction of pipelines through Northern Alberta muskeg terrain, urban areas, and mountainous terrain. Field duties have included responding to contractor RFI's, reviewing contractor plans, assisting in creating solutions to problems based on field conditions, completing field reviews, and witnessing hydrotests.

As an Associate Design Engineer at Fluor, gained experience on a breadth of topics including remediation of existing pipeline systems, brownfield facility piping, greenfield facility piping, procurement, and generation of engineering documents and reports. Created a Pipeline Roadmap that was adopted company-wide and which lists relevant work practices at each stage of a pipeline project, and can be used as a quality audit tool to ensure proper work practices are followed, resulting in improved efficiency and consistent execution across projects.

For the last three summers, I have worked as an engineering intern on the FEED and detailed engineering phases for a number of pipeline projects. I started out conducting pipeline calculations including wall thickness, highway/railway pipeline crossing stress (API RP 1102), and release volumes. I also prepared pipeline construction right of way sketches and ditch configurations, and marked up typical drawings and alignment sheets.Other responsibilities included liaising with various government offices to obtain road crossing requirements, and preparing data sheets and material requisitions for inductions bends and fittings. My writing and coordination skills were put to use in the preparation of hydrostatic test plans, construction execution plans, and design basis memorandum (DBM) updates.While my projects were all pipeline-based, I furthered my technical skills and learned the basics of project execution.
