Initially engaged as a Cognos Developer as a fill-in for a maternity leave position. Management quickly recognised the depth of my technical skills and business focus and sought me to produce more strategic reporting solutions. These solutions were designed to be more interactive, embedding the business process into the resulting solution, and raise the level of maturity for the users compared to their current data consumption methods. • Led to my appointment as Information Architect and Stream Lead on the Information Delivery aspects of the integration project following the merger of Foxtel and Austar. Successful completion of this project lead to 80%+ reduction in the volume of reports, improved total cost of ownership in the business intelligence tools, and greater user acceptance.• Implementation of interactive solution for the measurement and monitoring of cross-sell and up-sell behaviour across the call centre, resulting in tangible improvements in both process and return.• Implementation of interactive solutions for the measurement and monitoring of website activity and call resolution rates• Design and manage the implementation of more flexible and robust data sets, in business context, to better support multiple reporting initiatives, resulting in quicker 'time to market' in our ability to deliver actionable insight to our customers.

With the consolidation of Westpac and St George Bank under one banking licence, the opportunity was identified to also unify the financial reporting process. I was a member of the team involved in the successful delivery of a number of key initiatives:• Streamline the 15 distinct chart of account structures to two• Introduction of a unified product structure• Review of reporting requirements to report almost exclusively from the natural hierarchies• Eliminate duplication and maintenance issues associated with current reports• Provide fast, robust and timely analysis capabilities

I stepped into this role at a “green fields” site, where previous attempts at delivery quality solutions to the business had failed. My team and I delivered on a number of key strategic initiatives:• Design and implementation of a balanced scorecard KPI measurement reporting solution leveraged at the board level to drive better decision making• Implemented a Master Data Management solution and methodology for the centralised and controlled maintenance of dimensional hierarchies and attributes• Implementation of a Finance Data Mart, eliminating the spreadsheet solutions and proving greater flexibly and insight of the group’s financials (approximately 15 legal entities) • Devised and implemented a new architecture and design methodology making more efficient use of SQL Server 2005. My duties within this role where to ensure the control, update and maintenance of the core transaction system and its interfaces to the stock exchange. My involvement in this program stretched for 15 months with modules conducted in the UK and USA, and projects involving small teams if attendees required to be delivered between models.
