In my current role as a Project Software Developer at Silvertrek Systems, I develop integrations between Viewpoint's Vista accounting software and third-party software using APIs, create reusable data migration tools and scripts for large companies valued over $1 billion using Transaction-SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports, and use SQL nearly every day in my very data-heavy role. I also train and consult other companies in various technical-related topics, such as information technology, database administration and software development.I pride myself on my ability to work quickly and efficiently. Many (if not most) of the projects I work on as the primary developer are completed quicker than planned and at a lower cost. A primary focus of mine while developing software is to think ahead when writing the software, so that it is easier to scale and maintain as the software grows in size and scope. I also value greatly well written documentation; documentation is an often overlooked aspect of software development, but a detailed document can save a developer many hours from not having to research the software, which is why I make an effort to write clear and detailed documentation for all the projects I work on.
