GOTAFE is the largest vocational education provider in regional Victoria offering over 130courses across eight campuses, servicing an estimated population of over 240,000people. GOTAFE operates on the land of many traditional custodians including the YortaYorta and Taungurung people. GOTAFE provides education to over 9,000 students per year and employs over 500 staff and is deeply connected to our local communities. I was a member of the Executive team, reporting to a board and was and accountable for the delivery against our strategic plan to foster excellence in vocational education, optimise the experience of students and customers, develop meaningful partnerships with government, industry and other stakeholders and strategically diversify and maximise revenue.I lead the Attraction and Engagement division with a budget of $7.8M and 100 FTE staff. We delivered the institute's events, marketing and communications services, enrolments and attraction, student support and wrap-around services including counselling, equitable and learning support, stakeholder and government engagement, industry and university partnerships and business development.

The Executive Leadership Team, of which I was a member, reported to the Council of nine elected representatives, delivered an annual expenditure of $277M and provided over 80 services. In 2019/20 we delivered over 120 capital projects. 1100 staff and volunteers translated our strategic vision into operations by working together to make Ballarat better for all. I led the Innovation and Organisational Improvement division with its budget of $6.3M and 43 FTE staff. Delivering results in the organisation’s advocacy and lobbying agenda, corporate reporting requirements, people and culture services, business improvement and innovation activities, communications and marketing and civic functions including the Office of the Mayor and CEO and the historic Ballarat Town Hall.
