I consider the greatest gift that all members of mankind share is the ability to create one's own happiness through hard work and discipline. Once a goal is perceived and a dream plants itself into the mind of a believer, truly anything is possible with a little bit of love, passion, and dedication. Throughout my life, I have held onto this ideology that I truly can do whatever I put my mind to, and have been able to watch as my past dreams become my current realities. Coming from a very large, conservative family hasn't always been the most inspirational background for a young dreamer, but I use my roots as an inspiration to become something different. I started working at the age of fourteen and slowly, opportunity by opportunity, and thanks to the connections I have developed over the years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to not only attend a prestigious university but also possess the work experience that will jumpstart my career in the professional world. I began my experience in management positions at the age of sixteen through Starbucks, and have since developed these skills in my daily life and career experiences. As I continue to explore new areas of my capabilities, I fail to put into words how excited I am to employ the social, managerial, and business skills that I have learned throughout my employment experience in my future career.

During my time at Starbucks, I was hired at the age of 16 as an entry level barista for $9.40 hourly pay. As a new barista, I did everything I could to master the craft of making drinks, and adjusting to the new environment. I quickly worked my way up to barista trainer, and eventually shift lead, and after 5 raises I was up to $12.20 an hour. I then relocated to another Starbucks, hired at $15.00, worked my way up to Shift Manager, left at $17.00, and ended my time at Starbucks as a Shift Manager for a corporate store making $20.74. I only mention my pay as a tangible representation of how hard work and dedication have helped me to truly reach my goals, and not as a means to boast about my achievement. I believe that my time at Starbucks has been extremely beneficial, and has helped me to become a better version of myself.
