Camden Whitlock is an upcoming second-semester senior pursuing a dual BA in Business Communications and English Literature, with a minor in Publishing, Editing, and Digital Media. She studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. On campus, she is the Marketing Chair of Lambda Pi Eta, Theta Kappa chapter, the premiere national honors society for Communication Studies majors (see @unclambdapieta on Instagram). She has also served in various other communications roles, such as Communications and Fundraising Team Lead (2023) at UNC Wesley Campus Ministry and Director of Communications (2023) for UNC Simple Charity. She spends her free time coaching group fitness classes at Orangetheory Fitness and UNC’s Campus Recreation centers. She also enjoys doing freelance graphic design work on-campus, identifiable through her role as Graphic Designer for UNC’s Undergraduate Philosophy Journal, Aperto Amino (2023).She is known for my philanthropic efforts, working with Durham-based nonprofit Simple Charity, both on UNC’s campus (2022-2023) and as a summer intern (2023). She has ample experience in professional working environments, beginning at age 17 as a tax preparer for Thompson Whitlock PLLC. She has volunteered and worked alongside diverse groups of people from a young age, the most memorable experience being UNC Wesley’s annual Puerto Rico Mission Trips in which she led the Communications Team (2022 & 2023).
